About your move
Swiss room count: a 3½-room flat has 3 rooms plus a kitchen/dining area.
Wardrobes, beds, sofas, tables, appliances…
We deliver them before the move: tell us in the notes how many rooms you need to pack.
We apply for it at the Comune on your behalf: the fee stays with you.
What are we moving?

Living and dining room 5 items
  • Tell us if the sofa is a corner or modular one.

  • Tell us the width in metres; if you still have the television’s original box, please keep it.

  • Please empty them before the move; glass shelves are packed separately.

  • Over 80 cm they need dedicated packing.

Bedrooms 5 items
  • Tell us about storage or boxspring beds: they weigh up to 140 kg.

  • Tell us the number of doors: we dismantle and reassemble it.

  • We check access through stairs and doorways; an external lift is sometimes needed.

Kitchen and laundry 5 items
  • Please empty and defrost them at least 24 hours before; over 200 litres we quote them separately.

  • Please lock the drum with the transport bolts, if you have them.

  • Gas, water and electrical disconnection is done by a certified technician.

  • A fitter is needed; connections are made by a certified technician.

Cellar, attic, basement room and garage 4 items
  • Everything already boxed or loose in the cellar, including wine cases and tyres.

  • Tell us how many bicycles; on e-bikes the battery is removed and packed separately.

  • Tell us the length.

Garden, terrace and balcony 3 items
  • Tell us if the parasol base is concrete or stone.

  • Please drain petrol and oil before the move; gas cylinders cannot be transported.

  • Plants and terracotta pots travel without breakage cover.

The moving van needs a parking or unloading permit from the municipality: we can apply for it on your behalf.

Bedroom 4 items
  • Tell us the number of doors.

  • Sliding doors and walk-in systems need two people and more time: tell us the number of units.

  • A bunk or loft bed is fixed to the wall and safety-checked.

Living and dining room 5 items
  • We also assemble flat-pack models such as BILLY or KALLAX.

  • It is anchored to the wall: with plasterboard walls we check it first.

Office and workspaces 4 items
  • Including mobile pedestals and metal cabinets.

Wall mounting 3 items
  • For TVs over 55 inches or plasterboard walls we check first.

  • The fixing depends on the wall type: we check it first.

  • For large mirrors we need to know the wall type.

Kitchen and bathroom 5 items
  • Site visit and dedicated quote; worktop cutting and connections are done by authorised professionals.

  • The fixed connection is made by a certified technician.

  • On existing connections only, including with a stacking kit: no new plumbing work.

  • The plumbing connection is made by an authorised installer.

Outdoor and garden 2 items
  • For large structures we check the ground and the anchors.

Extra services 3 items
  • On already-assembled furniture we cannot guarantee that screws and fittings hold.

  • We take away and dispose of cardboard, polystyrene and the replaced item: the cost depends on the piece.

  • Describe it in the notes: we will tell you straight away if we can do it.

Businesses and offices 1 item

Work for businesses: we always quote it after a site visit.

  • Specific tools and trained staff are required.

We do not carry out fixed electrical or plumbing work (e.g. hard-wiring an oven or connecting taps). If your project needs it, we will tell you in advance and can coordinate a certified professional.

About the clearance
What needs to be cleared?
For reference: a van holds about 12–20 m³.
Are some items still in good condition for donation?
e.g. the date the flat must be returned to the landlord.
e.g. piano, safe, corner sofa, solid wood wardrobe.
Narrow stairs, parking, keys, opening hours of the building…
What kind of items?

Tick at least one, and tell us how many where you know.

Furniture and fittings 6 items
  • Sofas, wardrobes, beds, tables, bookcases and office furniture.

  • Not recyclable: they go to incineration and the cost depends on the weight.

  • If they are in good condition we offer them to a charity (Red Cross, Caritas).

  • Dismantling a fitted kitchen is quoted separately.

Appliances and electronics 2 items
  • Fridge, washer, oven: disposal is already covered by the Swiss advance recycling fee, so you only pay our labour.

  • Disposal through Swico and SENS is free: you only pay the pick-up.

Cellar, attic and garage 4 items

We do not take ammunition, explosives or weapons: please contact the cantonal police.

Building material and rubble 1 item

Asbestos and Eternit: removal is a job for a specialist firm, and only after a site visit, under the SUVA rules.

Outdoor and garden 1 item
Hazardous and special waste 2 items

We do not take paint, solvents, oils, chemicals, gas cylinders or extinguishers: they are handed in free at the recycling centre or the point of sale.

  • They can be handed back free at any point of sale; we take car batteries away ourselves.

  • They can be handed back free at any pharmacy.

We cannot take hazardous waste: paints, solvents, chemicals, asbestos, gas cylinders or ammunition. Electronic appliances are returned through the official SENS/Swico take-back schemes.
