Our story
Why we started ProntaMano
Moving house usually means juggling several companies: someone to dismantle the wardrobe, someone with a van, someone to put everything back together — and someone else to take away what you no longer need. The more people involved, the more appointments and quotes you need to manage — increasing the risk of miscommunication and overlooked details.
We founded ProntaMano to make this simple for people in Ticino: one team that takes your furniture apart, transports it safely, reassembles it in your new home and clears out what should go — with a single point of contact from the first call to the last screw.
The name says it: "pronta mano" is a ready hand — people who show up prepared, get the job done properly and leave your space ready to live in.
We treat every home as if it were our own — and we only promise what we can actually deliver.
Our mission
To make every move, assembly and clear-out in Ticino calm and predictable: clear quotes, careful hands and a result you can use from day one.
Our values
What you can count on
-
Reliability
We arrive when we said we would, and we do what we agreed — confirmed in writing.
-
Care
Blankets, straps and labelled hardware: your furniture and your home are protected at every step.
-
Transparency
Free, written quotes in CHF — flat price or clear hourly rate, and no surprises on the invoice.
-
Sustainability
We give reusable items a second life through local charities and dispose of the rest responsibly.
-
Local roots
We live and work in Ticino, speak Italian and English, and know the local rules and roads.
How we work
Well prepared, from the first call
Good work starts long before the service day. This is how we make sure everything runs smoothly.

We listen
You tell us what needs doing — with photos if you like. We ask the right questions about floors, access and special items.
-
We quote clearly
We get back to you within 24 hours on working days. You then receive a free, non-binding written quote, valid for 30 days; for larger jobs we first offer a free on-site.
-
We plan the details
Once you approve our offer, we confirm the booking in writing and coordinate all necessary preparations to ensure a smooth and well-organised move.
-
We work carefully
On the day, our team protects your home, labels every fitting, and anchors tall furniture to the wall where it matters.
-
We check together
Before we leave, we walk through the result with you and take the packaging and unwanted items away.
Honesty first
What we don't do — and how we still help
Some jobs require certified professionals by law. We tell you upfront, so there are no surprises on the day.
Not part of our work
- Fixed electrical work — e.g. hardwiring an oven or hob, 400 V connections, cables inside walls.
- Plumbing work — e.g. connecting taps, sinks or basins, installing or modifying water and waste pipes.
- Hazardous waste — paints, solvents, chemicals, asbestos, gas cylinders or ammunition.
- Transport of cash, jewellery, important documents and other valuables — please keep these with you.
What we do instead
- We point out exactly which connections need a certified electrician or plumber — before we start.
- On request, we coordinate a certified partner so the job is finished properly.
- We position your appliances and plug them into an existing, matching socket.
- We tell you where hazardous waste can be taken, so nothing ends up in the wrong place.
